Niko is pleased to announce commencement of its exploration drilling program in Indonesia and participation in the company's twenty-first block in the country. Production performance at the D1/D3 fields within the D6 block indicates the need for a revision to the current geological model. While analysis continues, Niko anticipates a drop in its reserves for the D1/D3 fields. On the positive side, as development plans are approved, Niko contemplates additional reserves from the R complex, satellite fields and full block development.

Niko Resources Ltd. declared a fourth quarter dividend of $0.06 per share. The record date is March 31, 2012 and date of payment is April 13, 2012.

Niko is pleased to announce that it has entered into an agreement for credit facilities totaling USD $250 million. The first is a USD $225 million Senior Secured Syndicated Credit Facility and the second a USD $25 million Senior Secured Operating facility. The syndicated facility was jointly arranged by Scotia Capital and RBC Capital Markets and includes participation by a total of seven international banks.
